I had given you a brief update on Friday of what our last week was like. Well, Liane is much better and should be able to exercise this week, but I am fighting off a sinus infection now as well.
I think I need to go through my house today and disinfect everything I can and try to rid our house of germs.
I have been lucky this winter and have fought off everything Liane and our daughter have caught, but I am a little worrisome about this one. It hit me pretty good yesterday and today so I will be spending the rest of today resting and working to fight off this infection.
Though we did do our measurements yesterday and I have the results for you.
Liane continued to lose from her waistline, which is the reason why we are doing this belly fat transformation.
She lost another 3/4 of an inch from her abdomen and 1/8 from her waist. Her weight stayed the same this week, but she did lose circumference, which is the most important. Her whole goal is to build lean body mass and lose the extra baby fat from her waistline so we don’t expect her weight to drop much more than it has. We do expect to see her waistline continue to shrink.
She should be able to get back into working out this week and burning more calories.
As for me I have the same goals as Liane. I am looking to add lean body mass, but get my six-pack abs back. For those that have lost weight before you know that losing those last few pounds is the most difficult because your body fights to keep it. It does this because it wants a safety buffer in there in case it ever needs emergency calories.
That is why it is always easier for those very over weight to lose weight quickly, but once they get to the final 5-10 pounds it becomes increasingly difficult.
My bodyweight stayed the same this week, which is good because that means I am building lean body mass. My abdomen dropped 3/4 of an inch and my waistline dropped 1 3/4". Given my body type my fat is right at my love handles and belly button. This means I expect my waistline to continue to see decreasing numbers and my
abdomen should slow down because that is primarily muscle.
When it comes to losing weight there is never a perfect time. As you can see with us fighting illness. Though we don’t get down about it. We just keep moving forward even if those steps are small. As long as we are moving forward there will be progress and we will have those days and weeks where we are healthy, eat great and workout hard. We just have to fight through the adversity (blowing our nose every 3 minutes
) and push forward.
This is why you should have a plan and map out what you are going to be doing each week. This is what is keeping us on track even though we don’t feel good. We don’t have to think about what we are going to do next. We just look at our plan and follow it.
