For some people the answer is YES.
Sometimes you just have to indulge a little. Satisfy those cravings so that you don’t binge on something you really shouldn’t binge on.
When it comes to food cheating keeps us sane. Now I wouldn’t say the same thing for other types of cheating. I am just talking about cheating with food.
If you are one that has to cheat every now and then I have created a little cheat sheet for you to follow.
These foods are roughly 200 calories. The alternative choices are roughly the same calories, but healthier for you.
| You Crave: | Skip This: | Eat This: |
| Chocolate | 8 Hershey Kisses | 50 chocolate raisins (protein, calcium, fiber) |
| Fruity | 10 Starburst candies | 2.5 packs Fruit snack (vitamins A, C and E) |
| Nutty | 3 snack size Snickers | 20 peanut M&M’s (twice the calcium) |
I included why the alternative was better for you if you had to choose. So if you just have to indulge on something that isn’t a part of your weight loss program try and choose a comparable food that will provide more nutrients and not just empty calories.
Yours in health!
